Free stromboli
David Zadnik (1989) and his wife, Christy, have decided that free food would be a good way to get people to help celebrate the 20th birthday of their Carsonie’s Italian Restaurant, at 6000 Westerville Rd. in Westerville.
So on Saturday, they’ll be giving away individual strombolis. Because the give-away is for dine-in customers only, it might help to know that the store seats 100 indoors and about 80 on the patio and is open from noon until 11 p.m.
“We’ll probably be making dough all day long,” Zadnik said, “but we figure it’s worth thanking people for helping us flourish for such a long time.”
If the restaurant runs out, Zadnik said, he’ll start handing out coupons.
Carsonie’s also will have live bands, a bocce tournament and door prizes.
