An update from David Holzer 82
I became involved with The Adaptive Adventure Sports Coalition (TAASC) as a result of my son’s Eagle Scout project. I attended an organizational meeting with him, met the Board of Directors and several of the participants and I was hooked. As an avid kayaker and skier it was a natural fit.

That was 4 years ago. I now average just over 400 volunteer hours per year.
I am now a Board Member as well as a volunteer.

My roles are as follows:
Co-Director of the Kayak program
Certified ACA (American Canoe Assoc.) Kayak instructor
Certified PSIA (Pro. Ski Instructor of America)
Speaker / Presenter (Kiwanis & Rotary Clubs…)
Grant writer

I am also in charge of what is known as the Jeffrey Property. This is a 30 acre site on the Oshaughnesy (sp?) Reservoir owned by the City of Columbus. We have a lease on approximately 8 acres that includes a 2 car garage and house. The two structures were close to falling down, through my efforts and several very generous companies we have new roofs, new windows, new siding and commitments to complete the interior of the house from electricians, plumbers, HVAC, floor covering… Having a major issue with various authorities on sanitary/septic issues and have nearly 2 years on working this project through, City of Columbus, Delaware County, Ohio EPA and a few other jurisdictions.
If any Brother wants to learn more have them give me a call at 614-451-5100 or email me at dholzer@c1realty.com.

Letter from Consul

Alumni Brothers,

As my term as Consul has now come to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to express my most sincere gratitude for your efforts in support of the undergraduate chapter over the past 12 months; I truly enjoyed working with and learning from you all. I have a steadfast confidence in the ambition and decision making abilities of the new executive committee and trust that the active/alumni relationship with continue to be strengthened over the coming year. I am excited to see how we, as a collective organization, build upon the foundation for growth that has been established.
Please stay in touch. Many thanks.
In Hoc Signo Vinces,

Chris
